Parts Counter Sales Person
Full-Time
Job Function:
Performs a variety of in-store customer service, marketing, promoting, advertising, and stocking duties related to the receiving, sale, and delivery of parts and accessories. |
Essential Duties:
- Sells products and/or services to meet customer needs.
- Records sales and/or counter transactions. Supplies Service Technicians with parts as required.Assists with preparing and maintaining merchandise displays. Verifies receipting-in of shipments and assists with placing Machine Down and Stock Orders in their proper inventory locations.Participates in all job-related training and development.
- Performs routine housekeeping tasks.

Skills & Qualifications:
|
- Parts sales experience and agricultural equipment knowledge preferred.
- Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions.
- Ability to work extended hours and weekends.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to analyze and interpret basic Parts Department reports.

Job Function:
Independently performs basic/complex diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance work on customer and/or dealer-owned agricultural equipment/outdoor power equipment. |
Essential Duties:
- Performs basic/complex agricultural equipment/outdoor power equipment diagnostics and determines what repairs are needed, if required.
- Performs basic/complex agricultural equipment/outdoor power equipment repairs as requested by the Service Manager/Shop Foreman.
- Participates in all job-related training and development.
- Prepares all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments.
- Maintains current product knowledge of John Deere and competitive products.
- Maintains condition of vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment.
- Mentors Service Technician Apprentices and junior Service Technicians.

Skills & Qualifications: |
- Proven knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and techniques used in the repair of outdoor power equipment/agricultural equipment.
- Outstanding knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Excellent skills in operating vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to work varying shifts, weekends, and holidays.
