We are still the same
Still the same! Contrary to all the rumors that are being said throughout coffee shops and local “watering holes”, Mankato Implement has not changed at all. The truth is Ron Kibble, who after being involved in the John Deere business for 40 years made the decision to sell his interest of Mankato Implement and retire. Steve Kibble is still involved in ownership and will continue to be the General Manager of our six store operation. Ace Brandt of Brandt Holdings has become a new owner of Mankato Implement and will help our organization with strategic, operational, and financial support through his team based out of Fargo, North Dakota. Our day to day operations, management, and business philosophy will not change at all and most importantly our Customer Service will remain our number one responsibility whether it’s regarding sales or doing parts or service business with any of our locations.
Now let’s talk about what is happening in the farm machinery world! What a difference things make when corn is $400 rather than $325 when it comes to equipment sales. Most of you heard by now that new machinery will be very limited again as John Deere factories have pretty much filled up their production schedules for the 2010 season. Great yields and good prices accounted for a very busy year end selling season with many people taking advantage of tax incentives and machinery deals to sell out certain lines of equipment. We do have a nice selection of new and late model used tractors, combines, heads and tillage equipment to choose from along with some financing that won’t last long. Check out these programs with our sales staff and learn about the 0% for 3 years on used tractors or customize a low rate financing package on used combines and get locked in on some cheap rates before they start to rise.
Are you willing to have a 90% corn stand? Most of you have bought your seed for the 2010 planting season by now and the question is your planter ready to go? We have been experiencing a huge variation in seed size and would like to make sure you have your planter units tested at one of our shops. We highly encourage you to bring in samples of your seed along with your units so we can do a test with our test stands and determine your maximum effectiveness in planting. Irregular seed sizes will cause skips and doubles, and when you’re paying $300-$400 for a bag of corn, you need to make sure your planter is planting as close to 100% efficiency without the skips and doubles. This will be more important than ever, so please contact one or our service departments and have this looked into before you go to the field.
Call or stop in at one of our locations and take advantage of our upcoming parts specials and discounts along with our seasonal service specials as Spring is right around the corner. If upgrading equipment has been on your mind, now is a great time to take advantage of our huge selection of inventory and great financing deals. Mankato Implement can never thank you enough for the support and loyalty you give us year in and year out and we appreciate the opportunity to be your partner when it comes to machinery needs. On behalf of all our employees and myself we would like to wish everyone a safe and prosperous Spring.
Steve Kibble
